The Whanganui River folk are always busy, even in the seemingly layed back lifestyle they lead. Whether they are working on farmland or on the road clearing slips or hunting in their spare time there is always something keeping them busy.

The Whanganui River and Whanganui River Road are both rich in history and legend. In the early 19th century the Whanganui River was the link from Wanganui to northern areas. Wellington to Wanganui involved travel by sea or rail and access to further north was by Riverboats to Taumaranui.

The services we provide include the mail tour, cycle tours along the Whanganui River Road and transport to and from the Jet Boats and any accomodation on the river road.
