Do you supply refreshments?
Yes, Morning Tea of coffee, tea, and muffins are supplied at no charge on all our tours. Or you may choose to bring your own picnic lunch.

What type of vehicle do we travel in?
Whanganui Tours use two comfortable mini coach vehicles.
1 x twelve seater minibus and 1 x ten seater minibus.

Can we drive the River Road ourselves?
Yes, but the road can be marginal in winter and a very hard surface in summer. It is 64kms of narrow, windy road with 30kms of gravel. Sit back and enjoy without the burden of driving.

Where do you leave from and at what time?
We pick you up from your accommodation or residential address in Whanganui City. The pickup time will be confirmed when making your booking. The Whanganui River Road Mail Tour usually leaves Wanganui at 7.00 – 7.30am.

Can we include a Jet Boat trip to ‘the Bridge to Nowhere on your Mail Tour?
Yes, we will take you to Pipiriki on the Whanganui River Road Mail Tour and have you there in time to connect with Jet Boat schedules. We will wait until you return from ‘the bridge’ and transport you back to Wanganui. Jet Boat trips are arranged with Whanganui River Adventures. Click here for more info.

• Cash payment to Whanganui Tours on the day.
• We do not have credit card or eftpos facilities.
• By making payment to your hotel or motel

We offer a full transport delivery and pickup service to all tracks.
• Matemateaonga Track (3 day track)
• Mangapurua Track (2-3 day track
• Atene Skyline Walkway (6-8 hour walk)
