Ride the most diverse and spectacular Great Ride in NZ.  Discover our cultural heritage, our ecological uniqueness, geographical challenges and stories galore!

From Tongariro National Park’s volcanic grandeur to the magical wilderness of the Whanganui River and the untamed Tasman Sea coast – our cycle trails will show you the sights, places and people that make our regions so special.

Known in Māori as ‘Ngā Ara Tūhono’ our connected pathways will take you to new adventures in a remarkable part of the world. Connecting two national parks the ride navigates alongside the tributaries and waters of the Whanganui river – with all their special stories for you to discover. True to the name, our trail network follows the pathways of those who’ve gone before, traversing a series of amazing landscapes to show you natural wonders and reveal important stories from the past.

Our Mountains to Sea Cycle packages are designed so all your needs are catered for, you will not have to carry luggage, food or bedding.

Simply choose how many days and nights you would like to spend navigating the trail and we will take care of the rest.  Nothing to organise each day, all your luggage transfers, food and accommodation are sorted.  Make your ride easy and enjoyable.
