Original Mail Tour - All year round
Experience Whanganui’s unforgettable historic Mail Tour with knowledgeable local guides. Operating Monday to Friday, this tour travels by road (not on the river) and includes morning tea. The tour runs from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and lasts approximately 6 hours. $90.00 per person.

Guided by the deep knowledge of our tangata whenua (people of the land), this full-day experience with Whanganui Tours includes morning tea, a scenic mail run, a two-hour cycle (with optional lunch), and a canoe trip from Koriniti. No two days are ever the same, but our manaakitanga (hospitality) and warm welcomes are always a constant. You can also enjoy a self-guided canoe paddle on our ancestral river, with full support and communication from Whanganui Tours throughout your journey, along with a 2-hour e-bike ride to take in even more of this incredible landscape. Minimum 2 persons, medium level of fitness starting from $270 pp includes e-bike hire.
